Introduction
Our design principles serve as the guiding light for Alraedah’s design team. They hold us accountable and are the key reference point when making product decisions.
How we formulated them
Our principles were formulated from interviews of all our design team members, and reflection of what matters to us. We took great consideration to establish appropriate guardrails that would always keep us true to customer.
1. Traceability
Traceability is seen through the experiences we have designed, the way the design team works, and collaborates with stakeholders. We try to ensure everything is well traced and understood.
“We try our best to keep the main focus is executing the task, rather than thinking of how” – Mariana Iamaguti
2. Trust
Trust is earned within the team and our users through relentless collaboration and honesty. Our users have expressed that they have placed their trust in us. So, how can we ensure that we not only meet but exceed their expectation?
“We show them that they are part of the solution – we hear your voice” – Nouf Alzoman
3. Adaptability
We acknowledge that we cannot have all the answers about our users from the get-go. Our approach is to create adaptable experiences that can be refined as we gain more insights.
“We cater for unforeseen scenarios and discover where else we can help" - Toby Glass
4. Visibility
Visibility is a core principle to the design team; it affects how the team works and how each designer builds experiences that offer transparency and visibility to the users.
“Are we providing people with all the information they need to make a fair decision?” – Toby Glass
Thanks for reading our guide to design principles. We hope you can be inspired and would love to hear how you are using them in your own organization.
